Til my next time,

love and pos vibes x

Hello, my loves! How are we all? I just turned 27 over the weekend and had the most incredible weekend with loved ones. So I’m back and ready to roll on a new bunch of blog posts for you guys. Starting off with today’s one which is a little different to normal and it’s my current beauty/make up  wishlist!

Let me know if you’d like this to become a little series and I could do one for autumn/winter fashion, fragrances etc (:

Benefit have just released or are on the verge of just releasing their Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter & the Hoola Lite contour/bronzing powder (the baby sister to the OG Hoola powder) and HOW GORGEOUS DO THEY LOOK?

Nicole Guerriero x Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit is one of the most sought after products in the beauty community, right now. It has the most gorgeous pink/peach tones which are complimented with a icy white tone and I am LIVING for it! Can it come back in stock like now?

Laura Mercier Translucent Powder is the original OG powder for setting your face and baking under your eyes. I’m like late to the bandwagon but my lord, do I want to try this or what? I’ve heard nothing but good things!

Another thing I feel as though I’m late to the bandwagon with is the Marc Jacobs Re Marcable Foundation. I’m not one for a full, heavy coverage on a everyday base but for those special nights out or when you want that flawless finish, I think it’d be PERFECT!

I want to give Kat Von D eyeshadows another shot and the colours in this palette are LUSH! I just feel like I’d wear a lot more colourful looks if I had this in my life.

I’m a big fan of the Nars’ Creamy concealer and want to start getting my kit sorted… so these look perfect! The little pots are easy to travel with and a lot easier to use in a sanitary manner. Any thoughts on their Soft Matte Complete Concealers?

Looks like Stila has released new highlighter pans and oh my lordy, they look gorgeous! Haven’t heard much hype around them yet but I’m willing to give them a shot! The Stila Heaven’s Hue Highlighters come in three colours… so there is endless options!

Marc Jacobs Highliner Pencils. Am I right, ladies? I’ve never found eyeliners so creamy and pigmented and when I’ve swatched them in Sephora…. THEY DON’T BUDGE!

What things do you guys just NEED? Let’s talk in the comments below!

L’oreal | Battle Of The Foundations.

Alrighty… we’ve got a little battle of the foundations going on here, who’s going to be the stand-out winner? L’Oreal is a brand I kind of have slept on when it comes to their foundations… why you ask? Well I don’t know.

Because these are GO-O-O-O-D!

loreal-infallible-total-cover-foundation-review-301-302-303-304-305-306Infallible Total Cover is their latest release… (well in Australia, anywho?) It claims to be a matte finish with high coverage and long wearing. All of which I can agree, they definitely deliver their claims. As it’s a high coverage, matte foundation I wouldn’t recommend it to my girls with uber dry skin as I can only just get away with it when I want a flawless, even base. This foundation lasts ALL day and from what I’ve found doesn’t transfer… so, WINNING!

This  foundation photographs brilliantly… in natural, day light mind you  but I can’t imagine it being horrible with flash photography though? Use it with Tarte’s Shape Tape concealer for a flawless base that lasts ALL day!

The texture of this is almost very mousse like, it’s almost fluffy (if you could imagine that… haha!) and it works best with a damp beauty blender!

loreal infallible.png

The OG Infallible foundation and one I don’t know why I didn’t try before now because this stuff is GOOD!  It’s not as matte as the Total Cover foundation but not as dewy as the True Match foundation… it’s the perfect inbetween. In my opinion the coverage is what you want from a foundation, it’s not to heavy that it looks cakey but not sheer by any means. Buildable, long wearing and comfortable on the skin. I highly recommend this foundation!

If you’re looking for a foundation that is perfect for combo/normal skin. I’d definitely recommend this one!

This is the foundation I go for when I don’t want a full face of glam and when I don’t need the extra coverage the Infallible one gives. Natural, dewy and buildable…  it’s the perfect everyday foundation for a girl who leans more on the dry side as I have found it somewhat transfers on my nose where I just seem to sweat and become a oil slick for no real reason but it’s EASY to work with and with the right prep, you’ll be FINE!

The consistency is quite liquid-y… almost water light, so it feels like you’re wearing nothing on your skin. Who doesn’t want that, right?

L’Oreal also have their version of a cushion foundation called he Nude Magique which is also REALLY good for everyday wear and would be ideal for the travelling girl but you just don’t get much product but in saying that, I LOVE the concept. They’ve also got the Infallible 24hr Matte but I lean to much on the dry side of skin to wear that… I have heard RAVE reviews about it from girls who have more oily skin though, so if your skin is like that… definitely give it a shot! (:

WINNER: (1) – L’Oreal Infallible (2) – L’Oreal True Match & (3) – only because I don’t need a uber flawless base everyday , L’Oreal Total Cover.

What’s your favourite foundation?  Do you have a holy grail in another brand that I should try? Hit me up in the comments below!

RIMMEL LONDON || Hot or Not?

Yesssss…. I’m a bit late with this post because this stuff has been on shelves for the longest time but I thought I’d still give you guys the heads up on what I’m loving & what I’m not loving as much from Rimmel London’s latest drop.

The vibe I get from this collection is simplicity & it always seems to be around this time that Rimmel does this. Everything seems to border on the more natural side of things and I’m really feelin’ the vibe they’re going for….

First off; we’ll talk about their Scandal Eyes Reloaded Mascara… to be honest, it’s crap. I absolutely hate saying that but you just don’t get any volume or length from this mascara. It really just seems to tint your lashes and that’s about it! They’ve definitely got better ones in their range like the one from the Kate Moss collection and even the Wake Me Up mascara is bomb.

Every girl knows the struggle to find a decent liquid liner, right? Well I think you’re in luck with one of the new-ish ScandalEyes liquid liner pens. I’ve been LOVING the Precision Micro liner. It’s black, pigmented and to me, it doesn’t seem to budge. Highly recommend!

They’ve recently also released a foundation for the combo skin girls called Fresher Skin. It’s a lightweight, breathable foundation that leaves a natural, dewy finish to the skin. I feel as though it’s a BB Cream texture with a buildable coverage. If you’ve got combo skin… this is something you should try!

My go-to foundation from Rimmel is the Lasting Finish foundation… like I always find myself going back to this one but I don’t hate this Fresher Skin range, I like how it gives my skin the chance to breathe!

Last but definitely not least, they’ve also got adorable little cream to powder blush pans… I’ve got the shade Regal Rose and it gives the most natural, healthy flush of colour to the skin that I just LOVE! The only thing I hate is that the pans aren’t that big.
I would of loved to see them release these blushes in a bigger palette type of release with multiple shades.

So whose tried the newer releases from Rimmel and what are you loving or not loving so much? This is the first time, I’ve found Rimmel to have hit & misses in new product launches… so I’d love to hear what you guys think below!

My favourite time at Lush is FINALLY here! The Christmas collection began to drop in early October with more arriving soon… (as far as I’m aware haha!) & Halloween arrived instores today and online over the weekend.

So far I’ve picked up Northen Lights, So White, Pumpkin, Autumn Leaf, Misteltoe and
Monster Ball. I’ve also got the Goth Fairy Shimmer Bar and I have tried the now cult fave Sleepy body lotion.

Northern Lights’ scent is described to be ylang ylang and jasmine… it’s ultimately rather delightful! My only downside is the water turns a weird and kind of gross colour once it’s finished putting on a show.

So White’s scent is crisp apple with bergamot oil, rose absolute, neroli oil and orange flower for a truly uplifting, refreshing bath. I couldn’t recommend this particular bath bomb more if I tried, I loved the old formula but this reformulation is just something special. To be honest, I just wish they made this bath bomb year round.

Up next is Misteltoe, probably my least favourite item of the ones I’ve got. I normally LOVE anything floral from Lush but this is INTENSE! They describe the scent as jasmine & vetivert. I can only hope once it’s in the water… it’s as magical as what everyone says!

Now onto Sleepy… if I’ve ever spoken to you about Lush before, you’ll know Twilight is probably one of my least favourite scents but I quite enjoy the scent of Sleepy? Even though it’s the same scent as Twilight. It’s weird, huh? How we don’t like the scent in some products but love it in others… if you’re a Twilight lover, this is for YOU!

Now onto the Halloween items… Autumn Leaf is definitely the same scent as their Needles & Pine jelly. Described as a fresh grass scent, you’ll find this bath being reminiscent of being in the garden or walking through a botanical garden with crisp, crunchy leaves under foot. This is going to be one of my favourites, I can just see it!

Pumpkin is a cute, little pumpkin with a face on it. Aesthetically this one is extremely pleasing and one for the gram… hahaha! Lush describe this to be full of vanilla absolute & spicy cinnamon which evoke the rich fragrance of home-baking. It’s definitely one of those scents that I can see myself using while the nights are still some what a little cold!

As for aesthetics, Monster Ball is another one that is just screaming to be put on the gram. Lush have jam packed this little baby with a lime and neroli oils! I’m so excited to use this one because the scent is just yummy!

And lastly… the Goth Fairy shimmer bar is a little cute, huh? To be honest, I thought it was going to be a LOT bigger than what it turned out to be. Described to adorn the skin with shimmer from the first stroke and that is due to the multitude of iridescent shimmer tightly packed into these little babies! I would describe Goth Fairy to share the same scent as Snow Fairy but BOY, I could be wrong… it’s just what I smelt first! (: Plus who doesn’t want to shine bright like a diamond these days, right? It’s a must have for all my glow/shimmer loving friends.

What’s on your wishlist from Lush? Have you had the chance to pop in store and give these guys a whirl? Lemme know in the comments below… I love hearing what you guys like and maybe aren’t so fond of!

JOUER COSMETICS | Is it worth the hype?

If you’re in the beauty community; you have either bought from Jouer Cosmetics or you’ve definitely heard about them. YouTube stars Manny MUA & Nikkie Tutorials are avid fans of the brand but is it really worth all the hype?

I’m going to say… YES! I’ve had the chance to play with their Rose Quartz powder highlighter for a couple of weeks now and initially I was  all ‘meh!’ and just generally not understanding why  they were all raving about this product, I truly didn’t think it was THAT good at first but now I know get it.

The Jouer Cosmetics highlighters are finely milled powders that can be worn quite subtle or layered easily for a more intense look. They’re a long lasting, creamy formula that is best applied with a fan brush to the tops of your cheekbones, as a eyebrow highlight, cupids bow and on the bridge of your nose.

“The ultra fine pearls and luminescent pigments create the ultimate, ‘lit from within’ glow.”

Citrine, Rose Quartz and Topaz are the three shades available on the Jouer website.

RRP: $24 *Hot Tip: Manny MUA & Nikkie Tutorials have discount codes to save some $$$ if you’re on a budget!*

What are your thoughts on postage? I can hear you asking from here. It costs roughly $15 to be shipped to Australia (which isn’t TOO bad considering….) and it took about 10 days to arrive. Which I ain’t mad at!

Have you guys tried anything from Jouer Cosmetics? If so, let me know below. I’d love to hear your thoughts. I definitely want to try their lip products next… especially the lip topper “Skinny Dip”. That colour gives me all the feels!
